A barbershop queue is a waiting room with no waiting room. People stand, scroll, and quietly decide the wait is too long.
A one-tap game fixes the *feeling* of the wait, not the wait itself. It also gives your staff a reason to say something to a customer who is already on their feet.
It is a 60-second game: no account, no download, no signup screen. The QR on the card opens it and they are playing before they decide whether they want to.
Prizes that cost you almost nothing
a free line-up on the next visit
10% off a second service
$5 off any product on the shelf
skip the queue once (one per customer, your call)
Whatever you pick, say it the same way every time. A prize nobody explains is a prize nobody wants.
Three things that make it work
Put the card on the mirror, not the till.People stare at the mirror for twenty minutes and at the till for twenty seconds.
Say the prize out loud once."Beat the counter and the line-up is free." That sentence is the whole campaign; the card only reminds them.
Change the prize monthly.Regulars come back to beat their own score. A score that resets is a reason to return.
What is actually in the kit
One zip, four files, built in your browser in about two minutes:
index.html — the whole game with your name, colour and prize baked in. Works offline, on any phone or tablet.
table-tent.png — a printable A5 card for the counter, with a real QR code to the game.
README.txt — three steps for whoever opens up tomorrow.
social.txt — four paste-ready captions: feed, story, SMS to regulars, follow-up.
